SDL Language Technologies: CONTENTSERV has a New Technology Partner
16/03/2011
Rohrbach/Ilm 25 January 2011: The software manufacturer Contentserv has recently extended its partner network by forming a partnership with the internationally operating translation memory specialists SDL Language Technologies.
Contentserv GmbH, one of the leading providers of web-based product information manage-ment, cross media publishing and web-to-print solutions for small, medium-sized and big businesses have recently formed a promising technology partnership with SDL Language Technologies, the world leader in Global Information Management.
SDL Technologies such as „Trados“ are the backbone of translation management solutions in many internationally operating companies. They contribute towards an increase in process efficiency, quality and volume of localized content (translated and individualized for the local markets) by reducing costs at the same time. Global markets can be supplied with high-quality multilingual information more quickly.
SDL takes care of over 1500 company customers and provides 10 million customers per mo-nth access to on-demand translation portals. Market leaders like ABN-Amro, Bosch, Canon, CNH, FICO, Hewlett-Packard, KLM, Microsoft, NetApp, Philips, SAP, Sony and Virgin Atlantic rely on SDL. Over 170,000 software licenses are in use worldwide. The global infrastructure of the company includes over 50 branch offices in 34 countries.
Today commercial success depends to a great extent on how flexible and customer oriented a company presents itself. Worldwide marketing of products can now be organized more flexibly and customer-oriented through the combination of Contentserv und Trados software.
The rising significance of web-based cooperation within and among companies and their international branch offices, in addition to the exponential growth of PC users in newly industrialized countries illustrate the necessity to automate processes for the provision and retrieval of content for local use.
The application of a centralized Enterprise Marketing Management solution such as Contentserv, which integrates translation memory systems like Trados, enables companies to react quickly to global markets. This will help users worldwide to create, manage, translate and publish content efficiently and reduces costs at the same time. High-quality multilingual information can be integrated automatically, i.e. in print publications, sales material, e-shops or websites.
The integration of SDL solutions strengthens Contentserv’s position in the market, particularly at the enterprise level. After the technology partnership with Across and the development of an integrated translation management system in the current Version CS11, the interface connection to Trados is the third pillar to ensure efficient translation management for all customers using Contentserv software.
Over 35 competent solution and technology partners throughout Germany now support Contentserv in the planning and implementation of customer projects. Contentserv also has an international partner network with partners in Switzerland, Austria, France, Benelux, Spain and Italy.
